Welcome to Nisse Farm. Since 2004 we have been working to create a sustainable small farm that can be both economically viable and good for the planet. Without both of these, it is not truly sustainable.
Our farm name (Nisse) comes from a Scandinavian tradition that speaks of a mischievous barn elf that looks out for the farm and the farm animals. Since we have so many different animals, we thought this would be fitting.
We now have a variety of products we have developed or raised that we can offer to the public both through this site, and directly from the farm. Our projects on the farm include beekeeping and pastured laying hens.
Honey from our bee hives is extracted and bottled without processing or filtering. Our bee's wax is used to make beard wax, lotion bars and lip balm while the honey is used in all of our handmade, specialty soaps to increase the emollient properties and hydrate the skin.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or ideas. We hope you enjoy our products as much we enjoy creating them.
